The members for this era were:

After previous guitarist Randy Klein had moved back home to Wisconsin, Chuck and Bill needed a new player and they found that in Andy Schidzig III who was with them for the first 3 months of 1996 (he played no gigs with them). In April of 1996, former Centaur roadie Brent Holmes joined them on guitar and they played 2 gigs. A second guitarist, Mike "Kemosabe" Norris (another former Centaur roadie), joined with Chuck, Bill and Brent from March 1999 to August 2000 during which they played 4 gigs. The band became a three piece again with Chuck, Bill and Brent, and they played 2 final gigs, one in 2001 and one in 2003. It was fitting that Brent, who had been the band's roadie and stage announcer at their first gig in 1982, should be there on stage with them for their last gig more than 20 years later (it would be Centaur's 71st gig). The band broke up in 2004.
Chuck and Bill never stopped playing music. Though they haven't played a live venue since 2003, they still get together every weekend and jam as a rhythm section, with guest guitarists occasionally sitting in (like original member Jay Wood did in 2011 for their 30th anniversary reunion). They all fondly look back at their time in Centaur and all the friends they made through being a part of the band. Chuck and Bill want to send out heartfelt thanks to everyone who ever came to see them play and everyone who was ever in the band or on the road crew. Hopefully, some of them have fond memories of Centaur of their own!
